Process Engineer Jobs

The Process Engineer provides site-based support to pharma and biopharma clients in the Boston market. This role supports conceptual design, basis of design, and detailed design of a production facility, supporting FAT’s off-site, SAT’s, commissioning, automation and/or Project Management.

Responsibilities

• Concept Design (Redlines for Circuits and Flowpaths)
• Create and review project documentation
• Engineering CIP Skid Capacity Assessment, Preliminary Hydraulics, New Equipment Sizing, New Line Sizing, New Valve, Instrument List.,)
• Support / lead the design and specification of cGMP equipment, processes and utilities.
• Create Technical & Functional Specification for automated and manual equipment.
• Liaise with client end user groups to ensure correct specification of equipment and utilities.

• Vendor Mechanical Shop Drawings
• General Arrangements (GA)
• Engineering Calculations
• BS degree or higher in chemical or mechanical engineering
• Equipment Data Sheets, Valve & Instrument Lists
• Cleaning Cycle Development/Optimization/Troubleshooting
• Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID)
• Software Design Specs (SDS)
• Startup/Commissioning Activities
• Engineering Drawings
• User Requirement Specs (URS)
• Floor Plans
• Utility consumptions
• Equipment Sizing – tanks, pumps, filters, etc.
• Functional Requirement Specs (FRS)
• Piping Plans
• Spray Coverage Testing
• Process Flow Diagrams (PFD)
• 5-8 experience in the Biopharmaceutical industry
• Specifications
• Piping and valve sizing for pressure drop
• Factory and Site Acceptance Testing ( FAT / SAT)
