Snapshot of Daily Duties:

The primary responsibilities include patient assessment, patient education and instruction, administration of IV therapies and associated care according to physician orders and documentation of care in the patient record.

• Monitor patients during infusion and discharge patients as policies indicate.
• Monitor patients IV medications and tubing.
• Perform phlebotomy as needed, or as prescribed/ordered.
• Give intramuscular and subcutaneous injections as ordered.
• Infusion RN will place IVs, administer IV medication, and fluids as ordered.

The Must Haves:

• Registered nurse. Membership in local, state, and national societies is encouraged. Maintains current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Certification and ACLS.
• Solid nursing background, concentration, or willingness to obtain advanced knowledge in GI specialty.
• Priority setting, application of judgment, communication skill and tact.
