Rn - Occupational Health Services - Casual - Days/Evenings

I. PURPOSE OF JOB:

To provide for the occupational health and safety of the Health System's Associates thereby ensuring their protection and that of the patients they serve. To provide nursing care which assures the safety and comfort of the Associate/patient with consideration for age-specific responsibilities for the adult working population.

Ii. Essential Functions

• Ensures Associate/patient safety and a healthy work force (via post-offer/periodic exams or health screenings)

in which Associates are able to perform the physical requirements of their jobs as noted on their job descriptions.

• Ensures compliance with regulatory mandates by providing appropriate services including infection control, health education, screening for communicable diseases and immunizations.
• Maintains active membership on the Infection Control and Prevention committee, Workers Compensation committee, Associate Safety Committee and in professional organizations to discuss/resolve problems while identifying opportunities for professional development and continual improvement in maintaining the health and safety of Associates.
• 3. Provides education and counseling for Associates to ensure well being and ability to meet the essential functions of their job.

Job Qualifications

IV . QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current Licensure by the State Board of Nursing -Commonwealth of PA.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, RN, BSN
• Education:

• Certified as Occupational Health Nurse within 24 months of hire
• Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years experience in occupational, public health, Med - Surg

or emergency nursing.

• Prefer experience in:

• Clinic/office setting
• Other Skills:
• Strong patient/customer service skills
• Good communication and leadership skills
• HIV Counseling
• PA Workers' Compensation laws and OSHA 300 and 301 logs
• Certified in C.P.R.
• Infection Control
