Duties

" RN to patient ratio 1:4, ranging from young adult to geriatric " Monitoring patients with medical equipment such as catheters, feeding tubes, tracheostomies, ventilators and cardiac monitors " Care for patients transitioning out of the ICU requiring more care and attention than patients on a general medical-surgical unit " Frequent patient assessments and proper escalation of a patient s change in medical condition " Responding to cardiac arrest and rapid response codes

Skills

" Evidence of graduation from an accredited National League of Nursing School. Baccalaureate degree or satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education and experience" Licensed to practice as a professional nurse in New York State" Two years of the following experience is required: Medical/Surgical SD or ICU experience, IV Insertion, phlebotomy and conscious sedation" BLS & ACLS certification" Demonstrates satisfactory completion of age specific competency
