  • And much more… Position Summary: The Trauma Injury Performance Improvement Coordinator works directly with the Trauma Program Manager to manage, maintain, and coordinate the performance improvement activities at Havasu Regional Medical Center. The Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator is responsible for day to day activities related to the performance improvement and patient safety plan. The Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator works collaboratively with the Trauma Program Manager and Trauma Medical Director to coordinate, implement, and maintain performance improvement programs based on HRMC’s statistical data. The Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator participates in state and regional injury performance improvement activities.

Registered Nurse Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Arizona
Minimum Work Experience Two year experience in relevant clinical nursing area (ED/Trauma/ICU)
Required Skills Certifications: Current TNCC on hire Competency: TOPIC course within 6 months of hire Maintains 16 hrs of trauma related education annually
Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Must be able to work under deadlines. Must be self-motivated to complete work in a timely manner to meet deadlines. Ability to think proactively, act creatively, critical-thinking, excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to effectively speak and present information before groups of customers, employees and committees. Demonstrates ability for problem solving, decision making and establishing effective rapport with personnel, patients, families, physicians, and colleagues. Must be comfortable providing education to staff and physicians. Should have working knowledge of Trauma One database and report writing, ICD-10, ISS and AIS coding systems. Must be familiar with American College of Surgeons and Arizona State Trauma criteria for the PIPS program. Demonstrates ability to work as part of multiple teams.
