Risk & Compliance Manager, Cxbt

Amazon is seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Program Manager in Arlington, VA, to join a global special projects team. This team is responsible for a fun and innovative portfolio of projects that informs larger company strategic decisions.
The Risk & Compliance Program Manager will be responsible for managing global risk and compliance programs that include inventorying, assessing, controlling, and monitoring important project-related risks. The candidate will be hands on and must have an entrepreneurial mindset to be successful in this role.
A successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage and iterate an approach to identifying, assessing, and driving remediation for a wide set of risks on our expanding projects. The candidate must be comfortable with balancing strategic thinking with tactical, detailed execution while working independently, sorting through ambiguously defined problems, identifying and facing big challenges, and adjusting to sudden and frequent change. This role acts as a key liaison with Finance, Legal, Accounting, Tax, IT/Sec, and business teams.

• You are highly analytical, detail oriented, and understand how to operationalize key mechanisms related to quality and professional practice standards.
• Have an ability to communicate complex topics in a concise manner to leadership.
• Maintaining a prioritized roadmap to address risks and improve risk programs.
• Exhibit a bias for action and a passion for operational excellence.
• Can foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.

• 5+ years of audit, compliance, and enterprise risk management experience.
• Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems with an extreme attention to detail and experience in preparing and leading business reviews for senior management.
• Demonstrated experience as a leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly in both written and verbal forms.
• Proven leadership, problem solving, project management skills, and strong attention to detail.
• 5+ years in a previous role interacting regularly and directly with senior executives and/or regulators.
• Master of Business Administration (MBA)
