Writes and reviews nominal and complex appraisals prepared by staff appraisers and outside fee appraisers. Prepares project cost estimates for project authorization.
Attends project scoping meetings, filed reviews and other necessary project meetings with internal staff, outside fee appraisers, and Associate Counsel and provide appraisal/valuation input. Makes initial site assessments on all appraisal assignments.
Provides expert court testimony on active condemnation cases. Serves as resource to outside Associate Counsel concerning valuation and settlement.
Prepares written and/or verbal correspondence and reports in response to inquiries from landowners, internal units, and the general public. Performs other duties as required.
A Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience in real estate appraisal. Relevant experience may substitute for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. An appraisal designation may be substituted for the real estate appraisal experience. A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.
