Responsibilities:
Duties:
  • Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair, according to specifications.
  • Possess general knowledge of welding equipment and operations.
  • Attach pipes to walls, structures, or fixtures, such as radiators or tanks, using brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment.
  • Welding pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment according to specifications
  • Possess skilled knowledge of pipe fittings, bolts, valves, etc. as required.
  • Operate tools and equipment including: angle grinders, beveling machines, cut-off grinders, hammers, torches, magnetic drills, welding machines, and a Saw-all.
  • Assemble or secure pipes, tubes, fittings, or related equipment, according to specifications, by welding.
  • Must own portable welding rig including PPE and (4) jack stands.
  • Lay out full scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment, following blueprints.
  • Must provide torch, oxygen and acetylene as part of the welding rig.
  • Reading drawings, taking measurements, reading isometrics, and installing piping efficiently
  • Measure and mark pipes for cutting or threading.
  • Select pipe sizes, types, or related materials, such as supports, hangers, or hydraulic cylinders, according to specifications.
  • Cut, thread, or hammer pipes to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders, or pipe benders.

Qualifications:
  • Preferably high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience
    • Preferably 2 year Minimum Experience in Fabrication
  • Preferably 2 year Minimum Experience in Fabrication
  • Education
    • Preferably high school diploma or equivalent
