As we extend our space communication product offerings to new customers, we are seeking an RF Systems Engineer I to join our team. Our mission is designing and implementing software, hardware, and cloud-based computing systems for satellite communications and the RF Systems Engineer I contributes to that mission by growing towards expertise in the RF front-end (antenna through modems).

We are looking for a self-sufficient electrical engineer who is able to work productively within a fast-paced engineering team.

Knowledge of professional engineering best practices for the full development life cycle, including requirements, architecture, design, integration, test, and operations in required.

This position is based out of our Colorado Springs, CO location. This position can be worked as a hybrid of office/remote for the right candidate. Willing to travel to provide customer support (typically 10% CONUS travel)
Experience and Skills:

• Sufficient programming skills in at least one programming language that enables the candidate to write code and applications to support the analysis, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting of solutions
• Proficiency with basic test equipment, such as Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscope, etc.
• Minimum 0-4 years of job-related experience
• Willingness to learn, take ownership, and deliver high-quality results in an unstructured environment
• BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship is required.

• RF reception chain including feeds, LNA & LNB
• RF frequency bands (L, S, C, X, Ku, Ka)
• Timing signals
• Basic knowledge of Satellite Ground Terminal (GT) theory, operations, and equipment including:
  • RF frequency bands (L, S, C, X, Ku, Ka)
  • RF transmission chain including block upconverters (BUC), amplifiers, and feeds
  • RF reception chain including feeds, LNA & LNB
  • RF distribution system
  • Antenna Control Unit operations and equipment
  • Timing signals
• Experience with Linux
• Antenna Control Unit operations and equipment
• RF transmission chain including block upconverters (BUC), amplifiers, and feeds

Competitive salary based on experience and education
Salary Range: $65,000-$115,000
