Job Description
Overview:
This post is for interested returning Mountain Sports Seasonal Supervisors only. We are looking for managers with expereince within the Big Sky Resort Team.

Responsibilities:
  • Be present on-hill to ensure lesson quality and offer assistance as needed
  • Manage daily payroll duties
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Continuously coach and monitor safety awareness and instructor performance
  • Encourage and support Instructors to pursue continuous education and professional development
  • Manage instructor schedules in a manner that optimizes business and staff levels
  • Organize lessons to ensure highest level of quality for guests and maximize instructor performance
  • Communicate with guests and staff in an effective and professional manner
  • Promote teamwork and a positive, cohesive work environment
  • Pursue professional development and leadership growth opportunities
Qualifications:
  • Experience in ski instructing for at least 2 seasons
  • A great guest service personality
  • Must be able to work in a physically challenging environment
  • Must have a genuine desire to pass on knowledge of the sport and inspire others to enjoy it
  • Must be able to work outside in extreme and quickly changing winter mountain conditions
  • Must be reliable, dependable and timely
  • Certified PSIA level 1 is strongly encouraged, level 2 or 3 is preferred (or international equivalent)
  • Must be comfortable setting up an environment conducive to safety, fun and learning
  • Must have strong communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with students, supervisors and co-workers
