JOB SUMMARYAs Restaurant Supervisor, you are integral in ensuring our restaurant operations run smoothly. You will serve as manager on duty, leading the team and overseeing all front of house aspects of the restaurant while focusing on the details, quality presentation, and customer service our brand is known for. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist Restaurant Manager with regular staff meetings to build rapport and ensures colleagues are well informed.
  • Communicate daily shift details with Restaurant Manager and Executive Chef.
  • Clearly projects the visions of the department and measures progress.
  • Reviews scheduling and labor needs with Restaurant Manager to meet the guests needs as well as maximize efficiency.
  • Become familiar with computer systems and technology currently in use in the various food and beverage areas, from both a hardware and software perspective.
  • Ensure that the department is accurately recording transactions and payments in the Point of Sale system, confirming servers close out summary and declared tips.
  • Maintain a mandatory restaurant cleaning schedule with the restaurant team.
  • Oversee the daily operation of the hotel’s restaurant.
  • Manage day-to-day staffing requirements, plan and assign work and establish performance and development goals for team members.
  • Remain alert of complaints and/or unsatisfied guests and responds appropriately to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Work with the Restaurant Manager to ensure appropriate inventories are stocked.
  • Work alongside the kitchen and lounge to ensure successful flow of meal service, filling in where needed.
  • Educate and train all team members in compliance with federal, state and local laws and safety regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
  • May work until closing to assist the servers with late night rushes, cleaning, and closing duties to ensure a prompt and proper closing down of the restaurant.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Able to lead and be a role model for all team members.
  • Must be flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able to walk or stand for a majority of shift.
  • Able to work in fast paced environment.
  • Previous restaurant experience preferred. Two year of previous supervisory experience also preferred.
  • Able to perform under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language, proficiently. Ability to speak other languages in a multicultural work environment can be extremely helpful in facilitating good communication among all hotel team members and guests.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and desire to participate as part of a team.
  • Able to easily and quickly lift and carry heavy trays.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
