Located in the Historic District of Swansea, Massachusetts for 80 years, Stevens Treatment Programs provides comprehensive services to adolescents who require the safety and consistency of our residential treatment program. Stevens empowers youth to lead successful lives through high quality treatment and education in a safe and nurturing environment. We support youth to successfully and safely reintegrate into home and community.

The Residential Director is responsible for the oversight of the implementation and functioning of the residential component of the program, in addition to playing a key role in the refinement and development of agency systems. The Residential Director serves as an organizational leader, and ensures that the Residential Department provides care and supervision in a manner that reflects the agency mission, best practice, and exceeds regulatory requirements. The Residential Director supervises the Assistant Residential Director and Transitional Living Program House Manager, and bears ultimate responsibility for all employees within the Residential Department.

We are seeking a professional with the experience and passion for residential care who is committed to serving adolescents in a trauma-informed manner. The ideal candidate has a well-rounded skill set, is creative and solution-focused, and believes in a collaborative, innovative leadership style. Schedule

Full-time: Monday (12pm-8pm), Tuesday (11am-7pm), Wednesday (2pm-10pm), Thursday (11am-7pm), Friday (8am-4pm), in addition to on call duties. On call duties typically consist of one weeknight per week and one weekend (Friday-Sunday) per month.

Changing client and programmatic needs may require that the schedule be changed accordingly.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum of five years of experience in a leadership position in a congregate care program
Demonstrated ability to relate to adults and trauma-impacted adolescents
Demonstrated ability to provide leadership on a day-to-day basis, as well as in crisis situations
Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative manner with a variety of disciplines and levels of staff within an organization
Must be able to communicate clearly, logically, concisely, and effectively, both orally and in writing
Demonstrated knowledge of residential treatment
A reference from an immediate supervisor verifying qualifications

Payrate:

$78,000 – $83,000 / year ($2000 annual if bi-lingual, fluent in Spanish)
$1000 sign on bonus
