Residential Counselor - I/Dd Youth

As a Residential Counselor, you will work in a residential group home setting for youth with developmental disabilities. This residential program provides a structured, safe community placement for developmentally disabled children diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder.

Full-time and part-time shifts available! Morning, evening and overnight shifts available!

Weekday shifts at $16.17/hr. Weekend shifts at $19/hr.

Responsibilities:
Provide a caring and supportive environment
Utilize positive behavior support strategies with adolescents
Provide direct care services and supervision to residents
Provide assistance and training in activities of daily living
Provide on-going information to professional staff
Provide input into assessments, case conferences, and treatment planning
Recognize client behavioral signs indicating potential emergency and take immediate action by reporting to appropriate staff
Provide one-on-one supervision and record client response
Directing and assisting clients in preparing for group activities
Provide social and recreational activities
Perform light household duties
Provide transportation
Demonstrate an ability to work positively with youth in a group setting
Prepare meals

Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree (in Liberal Arts, Social Work, Psychology preferred), with 1 year experience working with children/adolescents or IDD adults;
OR High School Diploma plus a minimum of 3 years experience providing direct care to IDD individuals (children or adults)
Vaccination required per EO 283 as applies to all healthcare facilities
All positions require a valid driver s license in good standing, and pre-employment drug screening.
