Residential Care Technician (Wor)

The Women's Outreach program (WOR) offers hope, love and assistance for women in recovery by removing substance abuse as a barrier to employment and living in the community. The Women's Outreach program includes both residential and intensive outpatient services that address risk factors for relapse. Services support women in achieving abstinence, maintaining recovery, avoiding illegal activity and meeting parenting responsibilities. The program also provides supports to help women obtain employment and transition into safe and stable housing.

Job Responsibilities Include

• Provide guidance, motivation and encouragement needed to promote recovery.
• Performs various administrative, clerical and related support activities.
• Assisting in knowledge of substance misuse and of problems encountered by chemically dependent individuals; basic understanding of behavior management.
• Assist in obtaining GED's, resume building, job placement and may transport consumers to and from part time jobs.
• Observes and monitors client's behavior and charts observations and incidents.
• Oversee self-administering of medication.
• Serve as mentors and assist in group and outing activities.
• Assist in training of basic personal and social skills, simple academics, or work skills.
