Residential Care Technician (Hrc)

One of Georgia's largest behavioral healthcare providers, Highland Rivers Behavioral Health provides compassionate, professional treatment and recovery services to adults, children, families and veterans affected by mental health issues, substance abuse and addiction, and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our purpose is to help every individual recover and live independent, successful and fulfilling lives.

Highland Recovery Center is a residential treatment program for men age 18 and older with a primary diagnosis of a substance use disorder, and men with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues.

Highland Rivers is currently seeking a night shift Residential Care Technician:

• Serve as mentors and assist in group and outing activities.
• Assisting in knowledge of substance misuse and of problems encountered by chemically dependent individuals; basic understanding of behavior management.
• Observes and monitors client's behavior and charts observations and incidents.
• May assist with meal preparation, ensuring or encouraging client group activity.
• Assist with daily living activities for residents.
• Oversee self-administering of medication.
• The Residential Care Technician assists with daily living activities in a voluntary residential recovery facility for men, located in Pickens County.
• May provide transportation.
• Assist in training of basic personal and social skills, simple academics, or work skills.
• Provide guidance, motivation and encouragement needed to promote recovery.
• Provides training on basic social skills, simple academics or work skills to individuals.
• Assist in obtaining GED's, resume building, job placement and may transport consumers to and from part time jobs.
