Job Description
(Full-time and Part-time Shifts Available)
Founded in 1998, Malta House is poised for growth and is looking for a Human Services professional who wants to make a measurable and meaningful impact in the lives of at-risk young adult families.
The primary responsibility of the Residential Advisor is to assist in all aspects of residential operations and to support delivery of programs and services in the fulfillment of the mission, in accordance with principles, policies, and procedures of Malta House.
The ideal candidate has a strong passion for working with young adult and at-risk families, has strong administrative skills, and has achieved a minimum of 3- 5 years’ experience in human services.
Schedule:
Malta House is looking to fill multiple shifts as follows:
Part-time Saturday & Sunday (9am-5pm) or Part-time weekdays (5pm-11pm) - $15/hr.
Per Diem when needed - $15/hr.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete required documentation, including log entries and incident reports, on a regular basis throughout shifts.
  • Other duties as required
  • Ensure all resident policies and procedures are followed and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Ensure that any health or safety issues regarding an adult or child resident is reported to the on-call management staff
  • Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings
  • Assign weekly resident chores, facilitate chore training for new residents, and assist in supervision of house maintenance
  • Provide staff coverage in the residence and oversee all activities including chores, meal preparation, groups, and cleaning
  • Complete assigned cleaning during shift
  • Assist in the implementation of special events and social outings as needed
Physical Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, and Internet Research
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
Education, Skills, Experience
  • Reliable arrive to work on time and as scheduled
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and administrative skills with moderate to strong computer knowledge
  • Ability to read, write, and understand the English language
  • Ability to work independently and as a team, accurately, and efficiently, with an eye for detail
  • Possess empathy and compassion for low-income and homeless families and individuals in need
  • Minimum of an associate degree in Human Services or related field
Full-time positions are eligible for benefits. Completion of a background check is required.
