Job Description

Synnovation Therapeutics – Associate Research Scientist/Research Scientist


Synnovation Therapeutics is a precision oncology company committed to improving the lives of people with serious diseases including cancer. We are focused on discovering the next generation of small molecule therapies designed to target key driver mechanisms in cancers. We are seeking a highly motivated, inquisitive and collaborative individual to join our growing team of scientists. As a member of the biology team, you will perform biochemical or cell-based assays to support the advancement of the drug discovery projects. Responsibilities:

·Develop, optimize and perform biochemical or cell-based assays to support compound screening

·Execute experiments independently, generate and analyze data, and report findings to project team

·Perform routine cell culture and develop and characterize novel cell lines and primary cell systems for pharmacology studies and disease modeling applications.

·Contribute to the design and execution of experiments to characterize compound mode of action and pharmacological activity in cell models using a range of biochemical and cellular techniques

·Maintain a neat and safe laboratory space, contribute to upkeep of equipment and inventory in collaboration with other team members

·Clearly document work and communicate results to team members


Qualifications:

·B.S. or M.S. degree in cell biology, biochemistry, biotechnology or related field

·2+ years of hands-on experience in cell biology or biochemistry research with experience in tissue culture, cell analysis and biochemical techniques including western blotting, RT-PCR, luminescence or fluorescence based assays

·Industry experience in assay development or compound screening is a plus

·Must be detail-oriented, highly-organized, and maintain excellent records

·Enjoys scientific interaction with peers and other team members; considerate and conscientious

·Entrepreneurial, has can-do attitude, embraces opportunities and challenges of start-up culture

·Motivated to learn and develop new techniques and skills

·Ability to adapt to rapid-paced environment and maintain high level of productivity
