All About You
Job Summary
Saint Louis University has multiple departments looking to hire Research Nurses. We currently have openings in Neurology, Nephrology, Surgery, Pediatric Cardiology and Gastroenterology. We are looking for any nurses with experience in adult clinical medicine, we will train on research so no prior research experience is needed. Under general supervision, coordinates clinical studies; compiles, enters, reviews and assesses data for clinical studies; screens and recruits subjects.
We also have Research Coordinator Specialist roles that require prior research and/or clinical trial nursing experience.
Job Duties
  • Reviews clinical records/charts and intensive care records for clinical intervention, medication, and patients’ responses.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Screens and recruits subjects for clinical studies; administers medication; coordinates clinical studies; obtains patients’ medical histories; attends investigation meetings.
  • Compiles and enters clinical data into database; reviews and assesses data collected; collaborates with investigator and statistical consultants; submits documentation and correspondence for compliance with protocols.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to analyze and interpret statistical data
  • Knowledge of medication and proper dosages
  • Knowledge of specialized medical/scientific terminology
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Interpersonal/human relations skills
  • Ability to type and operate a personal computer
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an approved RN Program, with bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred; supplemented with a Missouri RN License, and two (2) years of related experience.
