Job Summary

Financially established manufacturer seeks an R&D Manager to lead all grade development activities and related customer interaction in an exciting mill environment! You should have grade development experience, preferably with flat rolled steel or SBQ. strong communication skills and a commitment to team dynamic are a must for this role. Responsibilities

• Oversee R&D and be the face of company to new customers
• Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and practices.
• Develop Product Metallurgists and mentor them on career and skillset growth
• Develop new grades with customers and with internal team
• Oversee product metallurgy

Requirements

• Strong communication skills required, as well as a commitment to team dynamic
• Experience developing new grades important
• MS or PhD Metallurgical Engineering or similar
• Flat rolled steel or SBQ experience preferred
