Job Summary:


Job Summary


Provide support for social, economic or health related research; assist in investigating, gathering, assessing, and clarifying data; record and distribute information; assist in general laboratory maintenance and inventory control, with regular guidance.


Key Responsibilities


  • May assist in lab maintenance.
  • Collect and organize data from a variety of reference sources
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing study participants and providing appropriate documentation for research.
  • Update manual and/ or automated database file and maintain records
  • May supervise, plan and assign work for student assistants
  • Route questionnaires, record information and distribute results using established procedures
  • Prepare charts, graphs, and tables according to accepted research practices and preform preliminary analysis.
  • Assist in investigating and gathering data
  • Edit and/or type manuscripts according to accepted practices and assist in the preparation of materials for publication
  • Monitor and maintain inventory control and order supplies/equipment.

  • Clinical Research (Fundamental Awareness): Knows the primary resources available to accomplish the job. Can successfully research simple clinical questions pertaining to the functional area. Files and collates trial documentation and reports. Archives study documentation and correspondence. Demonstrates a systematic approach to problem solving.
  • Data Collection (Fundamental Awareness): Demonstrates the ability to gather and interpret basic information for use within the context of current assignments.
