Incident Response Analyst
The Incident Response Analyst is responsible for providing enterprise security solutions for business, regulatory, and legal requirements, and assuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.
Primary duties:
- Perform the detailed and repeatable execution of all operational tasks as documented in SOC processes and subordinate procedures.
- Analyze and assess security incidents and escalate to appropriate internal teams for additional assistance in a timely manner.
- Perform incident triage to include determining scope, urgency, and potential impact.
- Update all relevant documentation such as shift logs and tickets.
- Monitor the SOC Main Channel for security events and track incidents to closure.
- Identify impact of incidents on systems, and using available tools determine if data was exfiltrated.
Job Requirement:
- Requires a BA/BS; 3+ years of experience in a security operations role; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Technical security certifications (e.g. CISSP) preferred.
