We are seeking an outgoing individual for our Remote Planning Specialist position. As a Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for booking amazing trips for corporate and leisure clients in destinations all around the world! This position is great for anyone who absolutely loves to create itineraries and help others with planning.
- Effectively communicate with clients pre/post trip
- Attend ongoing webinars with vendors and suppliers, to become specialized with specific destinations
- Book destination needs (airline, car rental, hotel accommodations, cruise, ticket/event sales, etc...)
- Review individuals needs and wants for itineraries, to ensure you can cater a trip specially designed to meet their needs
- Must have a smartphone with internet access, laptop recommend but not required
- Review budgets, and plan trips according to clients budget constraints
- Complete ongoing training to earn and maintain certification to book itineraries
- Must be able to effectively communicate with clients (strong sales background a plus
- Monitor restrictions that come and go
- Create promotional materials to utilize
- Handle issues that may arise during the bookings for clients
- Research, Create, and Execute exceptional itineraries for clients
- Personal tour planning experience is a huge plus, however not required
- Network with tour operators regarding packages that you can possibly offer to clients
- Must be at least 18 years of age, and be authorized to work within the US.
- Part Time or Full time Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality also a plus, but not required
- Ability to interact, communicate and negotiate effectively
- Strong sales skills and commercial awareness
