Job Description
As an Intake Coordinator at Integrated Psych Solutions (IPS), you will be part of a revolutionary breakthrough in mental healthcare! Research and experience have shown that the frequent comorbidity of mental and physical health issues is often overlooked, particularly in the beginning stages of treatment. That is why we have an integrated, early-intervention approach to mental healthcare that results in increased patient success and satisfaction, reduced length of stay, decreased burden on support staff, increased utilization within the facility, and improved pharmacy usage.

IPS is a GA-based healthcare organization that provides mental health services to local healthcare facilities including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and long-term acute care centers. Founded in 2019, we are in an exciting growth stage with multiple expansion opportunities in the near-term and opportunity for growth and leadership within the company.

Responsibilities:


  • Answer multi-line phone systems.
  • The Intake Coordinator shall work the number of assigned hours per week and make use of any “downtime” in the best interest of IPS.
  • The Intake Coordinator will assume tasks, duties, and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or designated IPS staff.
  • Provide patients with support and guidance as needed.
  • Screen and schedule patients appropriately based on their specific needs in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Monitor multiple systems at once.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all IPS staff.
  • Monitor and direct a high-volume mental health access line of individuals who are seeking mental health support
  • Data entry into EHR systems in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintain professional behavior.


Requirements:


  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • High School diploma with a minimum of two years experience in medical practice
  • Ability to maintain productivity in remote settings under minimal supervision
  • Empathetic personality giving attention to patient’s needs and concerns
  • Bilingual is a plus but not a requirement.
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Ability to effectively triage calls from patients to ensure appropriate scheduling.


Typical working demands:


This position will be primarily remote and will be heavily based on technology, including but not limited to computer, web applications, and phone.


This position requires:


  • Sitting and looking at a computer for long periods of time.
  • The ability to prepare written reports and use telephone equipment.
  • The ability to hear a normal range of voice.


What we offer:


  • Potential for full-time employment with benefits after 6-8 weeks
  • Consistent schedule: Monday-Friday 4pm-7pm
  • A competitive rate ranging between $17-$20 an hour


IPS will supply the required technology for the position, laptop, headset, phone, etc. The employee will be responsible for a remote working office space.
