AACS Counseling, a behavioral health services provider located at 1295 Terrell Mill Road SE Ste 104, Marietta, GA 30067. We currently need a skilled and experienced Medical Reimbursement Specialist to join our behavioral health services team.
The role of the Medical Reimbursement Specialist is integral to our operations, ensuring that we maintain efficient revenue cycle management and optimize reimbursements while adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for behavioral health services.
Review and process medical claims, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Resolve insurance claim denials and appeals promptly.
Collaborate with healthcare providers and billing teams to address billing and reimbursement issues.
Stay updated on changes in billing and coding regulations relevant to behavioral health services.
Monitor and track reimbursement trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
Maintain accurate records of reimbursement activities and reports.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least two (2) years of experience as a Medical Reimbursement Specialist in a behavioral health setting.
Proficiency in medical billing and coding procedures, including CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes.
Strong knowledge of insurance guidelines, reimbursement procedures, and claim processing.
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance in medical billing.
