Summary

The Northville Health Center is an Ambulatory Care facility comprised of clinical and diagnostic services, dedicated to providing high quality health care services for adults and children. The 2-story facility is located at the corner of 7 Mile and Haggerty in Northville Township. Responsibilities*

This position will be to assist licensed physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, athletic trainers, and occupational therapists with predetermined aspects of patient related care and other routine departmental tasks (e.g. equipment and supply ordering, stocking, inventory checks, clean up and maintaining of therapy areas; set up/preparation for patient treatment). This position will also require applicant to assist with patient scheduling and check in and check out responsibilities within the department when necessary.

Required Qualifications*

In order to be considered for this position the applicant must have met or will have met all the required qualifications prior to the start date of employment.

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must also have experience in using/creating Excel and Word Documents.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or outpatient rehabilitation setting is preferred.
  • Qualified candidates must have strong verbal and written communication skills; effective organizational and time management skills and the ability to work well with people of all ages and cultures.

Desired Qualifications*

Bachelor degree in pre-physical or occupational therapy program preferred but not required.

Work Schedule

40 hours per week. Day Shift - Monday through Friday, hours to be determined. Clinic is open 7am-7pm.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
