Rehab Therapy Aide - 40Hrs/Day Shift

Description The Rehabilitation Therapy Aide is responsible for the safety, housekeeping, maintenance, infection control, and supplies and equipment needs of the department and provides backup coverage for the secretarial/reception area. The Rehab Therapy Aide also assists therapists to support patient care as needed.
This position is part of the 1199SEIU Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.
This position reports to the Assistant Director, Rehabilitation Services and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications

• Demonstrated written and verbal skills and excellent customer service skills required
• Demonstrated proficiency in using computer programs including Microsoft Word and Excel required
• Skill and knowledge typically acquired through the completion of an Associate’s Degree with a focus in business or health related field
• Experience working in a health care setting such as a physician or therapy office preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required
