Job Description
Outstanding opportunity for a part time Rehab Aide for our Westborough, MA physical therapy clinics. The rehab aide will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and execution of patient treatment and maintaining therapeutic equipment in a Physical Therapy setting.


Hours: Full Time, M-F, 9a-6p


Position Summary


As a Rehab Aid at Bay State, you will be assisting in the preparation and execution of patient treatment, maintaining therapeutic equipment, and assisting the front desk in a Physical Therapy setting under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).


Essential Functions


  • Schedules patients for follow up visits as laid out per PT prescribed plan of care.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies.
  • Assists the PT or PTA while performing therapeutic exercise elements of treatment including providing equipment to patient, helping patient to follow therapeutic exercise sequencing as prescribed by PT, and providing exercise cuing for form when needed.
  • Performs general light cleaning such as washing, drying, folding, and putting away laundry, organizing equipment and supplies, and vacuuming as needed.
  • Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
  • Assists PT and front desk staff in requested administrative tasks including light computer work, filing, answering phones and general clinic operational tasks such as checking in patients, verifying insurance, scheduling appointments, and other duties.
  • Sets up exercise equipment in treatment areas as needed by pushing, wheeling, or carrying equipment.
  • Prepares patients with heat/ice before treatments as appropriate.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures
  • Maintains a high level of customer service by greeting and introducing oneself to patients prior to beginning interaction with the patients.
  • Performs treatment space maintenance after each patient treatment by cleaning and sanitizing all surfaces; changing table paper and pillowcases and ensuring treatment areas are always stocked with towels and related supplies.

Environment and/or Physical Factors


This position works in an indoor clinic setting, with direct exposure to co-workers and patients in close proximity. This position may be required to wear personal protective equipment. The environment is clean and temperature controlled.
