Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Regulatory Relations, the Regulatory Relations Specialist acts as a link between their employer, its customers, and regulatory agencies. Their main objective is to ensure that the company responds timely to regulatory inquiries and complaints and that appropriate follow-up is completed.
Essential Responsibilities
- Coordinate the efforts related to the preparation of regulatory review responses
- Secondary responsibility and backup related to respond to inquiries related to attorney demands and regulatory board inquiries and complaints.
- Identify relevant guidance documents and provide interpretive assistance
- Input all regulatory inquiries into the appropriate compliance or risk management system
- Report incidents/claims to insurance carrier
- Primary responsibility to respond to inquiries related to BBB and Attorney General complaints
- Report on trends related to regulatory inquiries
- Develop education to address immediate and long term issues
Requirements/Qualifications
- Experience in computer skills including Excel
- Strong oral and written communication skills in order to advise or educate on topics or best practices,
- Must possess the ability to adapt to a changing and fast paced work environment
- Job Skills:
- Effective time management and organizational abilities
- Knowledge of state and federal rules and regulations a plus
- Education: Minimum Associates degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Excellent attention to detail,
- Background in cross functional team work preferred
- Experience in the medical/dental field a plus
- Ability to read and comprehend regulatory issues
