Job Description
The Hun School of Princeton, a college preparatory boarding/day school located in Princeton, New Jersey, seeks an organized and creative professional as its next Registrar. The Registrar will work closely in this 12-month position with the Heads of the Upper and Middle Schools and the academic support staff in both divisions to manage all student and academic data and assist with office administration and workflow. Responsibilities include: Serving as a main point of contact for the School's central database, Veracross, and as such, assist in support for student scheduling, internal reporting, parent inquiries, and institutional research needs; Managing student records for accuracy and completeness including the data entry and publishing process of all school academic documents including support of faculty in gradebook, final grade, and narrative comment entry; Partnering with the College Counseling Office on the efficient and accurate creation of student transcripts; Building and maintaining all divisional academic schedules including creation of courses and setup and management of the course request and parent-teacher conference systems; Collaborating with Grade Level Deans and Division Heads to facilitate course changes, add-drop process, course placement, sectioning, and related tasks; Assisting departments throughout the school with data imports and exports related to the student information system; Setup and administration of standardized tests and loading of data into student information system; Support for academic office workflow and administrative projects. Qualifications: A bachelor's or associate's degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Information Technology or Database Management or previous work in a similar role that requires the accurate management of complex information is preferred; Three or more years of experience with similar responsibilities to those listed in this position; A collaborative and respectful approach in working with all school constituencies; Spirited and visible engagement in the broad opportunities offered by a lively school culture; Demonstrated communication, organization, and management skills with demonstrated attention to detailed and accurate work with complex projects; A love for working with young people; A commitment to a diverse and inclusive community; Personal qualities including resilience, approachability, and kindness; Commitment to good judgment, tact, sensitivity, and discretion in the handling of confidential information, materials and situations; Capacity to periodically work beyond and outside the typical workday; Required passage of State of New Jersey Criminal Background check.
