New Graduates Nurses! Pen Bay Medical Center’s Operating Room is currently hiring individuals into their Registered Nurse Intern program.
The internship program is an exciting program that will provide nursing experience as well as clinical knowledge as the individual experiences several practice situations. The new RN Intern/Resident is a regular status position and is eligible for benefits.
The new RN is supported during a 9-12 week internship/orientation period with a preceptor. This is followed by a 9-month internship program with enhanced learning opportunities and the support of a mentor. The program is broken down into stages, with a focus on meeting and completing competencies at each stage.
For a limited time MaineHealth is offering a $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible New Grad Registered Nurses!
- Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
- Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- License/Certifications: Current/Valid License in the State of Maine as a Registered Professional Nurse or eligibility to sit for NCLEX Exam with proof of ATT letter. Must hold current State of Maine RN license within three months of hire. Current BLS Certification.

- Articulates elements of professional practice and demonstrates:

- Understanding of teamwork and collaboration
