Registered Nurse - Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit

RN - PEDIATRIC CARDIAC ICU

Full-Time

Registered Nurse candidates for the Pediatric Cardiac ICU Unit will have the following job responsibilities:

• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• Provides respiratory and ventilator management and monitoring for patients.
• Orients and mentors new staff members.
• Serves as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well coordinated patient care.
• Provides age and culturally appropriate care.
• Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, monitors vital signs.
• Carries out physician orders.
• Instructs and educates patients and families.
• Assesses plans and evaluates patient care needs.

RN - PEDIATRIC CARDIAC ICU

Full-Time

Registered Nurse candidates for Pediatric Cardiac ICU Unit must meet the following minimum job qualifications:

License/ Certification/Registration

• TNCC within 1 year of hire)
• Passing score on Critical Care Test/ Rhythm interpretation examination.
• Current Certifications Required: BCLS,PALS and ACLS
• Current license in Nevada as a Registered Nurse.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing - BSN preferred - ASN grads will need to be enrolled in a BSN program

Experience

• Current Pediatric Cardiac ICU Nursing experience preferred
• 1+ years of current acute care hospital critical care experience
