Responsibilities:

• Adhere to facility guidelines and policies, including mandatory COVID and flu vaccine requirements
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe patient care environment
• Respond to emergent situations and provide appropriate nursing interventions
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in electronic health records
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and manage patient care
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, identifying any changes in patient condition and responding appropriately
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide treatments as necessary
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members
• Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain nursing licensure and certifications
• Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to patients in the MS/Tele unit during night shifts (3x12-Hour) according to established policies and procedures
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and team members
• Participate in unit and hospital-based quality improvement initiatives
• Educate patients and their families about disease management, medications, and self-care techniques

Qualifications:

• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
• Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Kansas or compact state
• Ability to work night shifts (3x12-Hour) and commit to a 13-week renewable contract
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in MS/Tele nursing
• Knowledge of current evidence-based practices in MS/Tele nursing
• Flu vaccine is required with exemptions for medical/religious reasons only
• COVID vaccine is required as per facility guidelines, with no exemptions
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
