Position Overview:

To provide direct and indirect patient care to clinic patients and their families utilizing the nursing processes of comprehensive patient assessment, development and implementation of nursing care plans and patient education and on-going evaluations. The care delivered will be based on the theoretical principles and scientific knowledge and within scope of the California Nurse Practice Act and The PAMF policy Plan for the Provisions of Nursing Care.

EDUCATION:

Other: Graduated of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent education/experience

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

RN-Registered Nurse of California

DEPARTMENT REQUIRED CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

RN- Infusion/Oncology - ONS Certification within 6 months of hire

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Verbal and written communication skills for frequent and challenging contact with physicians, employees, patients and patient families; requires patience, tack and compassion.• math aptitude: calculation of drug doses.• basic computer skills to include keyboarding, mouse movement and data entry skills to enter information into practice management and EHR • ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks.• ability to lift and position patients properly using best practices.• visual capabilities to observe patients.• ability to maintain composure during challenging interpersonal interactions.• active listening skills; including interpersonal skills and telephone communication. -• ability to sit or stand for long periods at a time.• applies moderate mental application and concentration to handle varying procedures and interruptions.• must have comprehensive knowledge of pharmacotherapy• knowledge of acute and chronic disease and its effects on patients and caregivers.• computer skills including Microsoft office.• interpersonal skills collaborating with physicians, patients, families, care givers, service providers, and health care team.• self-starter who can work independently without close supervision and who ensures management staff are kept aware of any issues• ability to travel• ability to continually multitask.• written and verbal communication skills.• clear critical thinking and organizational skills.• experience coordinating care across disciplines and within the community; ability to coordinate community resources. - experience working with complex medical conditions, chronic diseases across the age spectrum - experience promoting education and patient self determination

Pay Range: $69.03-$90.99

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
