We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional VP Chief Information Officer at SRH!

Job Summary: The Regional Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) holds the highest Information Technology Leadership role at Client Health. The CIO has complete ownership of the creation and execution of the enterprise Information Technology (IT) strategy and ensures its integration with ongoing operational strategy as well as the delivery of all IT capabilities required to achieve organizational success. The CIO will participate in the development, implementation, management, and ongoing support of Client Health’s advanced information systems including infrastructure, applications (including the enterprise Epic system), security, privacy, telecommunications, analytics and training. The Regional VP and Chief Information Officer will advise and assist Senior Leadership and Information Services staff to attain the goal of full utilization of all the capabilities of the EHR and all IS owned systems in the advancement of improved quality of care and patient safety. Direct the necessary work to accomplish these goals and provide leadership support to providers and operational partners.

Essential Functions:

· Participates in the planning, selection, implementation and performance assessment of IT.

· Assists in the development of training programs for clinicians on clinical systems.

· Assists in reaching mutually accepted goals for IT systems.

· Develops strategic plans regarding information management and IT.

· Assures the recognition and promulgation of recognized standards for the use of IT and deployment methodologies.

· Supervises the Information Services department responsible for building, implementing, and modifying IT systems and other staff performing functions necessary to maintain and improve the infrastructure of the IT process.

· Manages the expectations of end-users.

· Drives IT strategies for Client Health. Ensures compliance with state and federal IT requirements.

· Directs systems planning, analysis, selection and acquisition, implementation and integration of IT systems.

· Adapts to the increasing technology savviness of patients and staff with new approaches.

· Leads a service-oriented department to excel at support for users of applications.

· Develops and operates internal systems that maintain and improve the effectiveness of the department and provides an environment attractive to employees, facilitating recruitment and retention of the IS staff.

· Comply with all Client Health, department and location specific policies and procedures

Education:

Master’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field required. Consideration will be given to technical certifications and prior experience in technology leadership positions.

Experience/Training:

Previous experience must include minimum of eight years professional and/or managerial experience in Information Technology in a healthcare environment. Must have a record of significant achievement and effectiveness in implementing and operating an IT environment along with an aptitude for leading comprehensive implementation projects with identified accomplishments.

Other Skills:

High-level interest and experience in the EHR and CPOE. Knowledge of physician work practices. Client Health Ability to develop and accomplish strategic and tactical goals. Leadership qualities pertaining to directing and encouraging technical staff and all levels of clinical providers. Ability to form strong relationships with executive leadership, IS leadership and staff, and all levels of clinical staff. Effective project and change management skills. Belief and enthusiasm in use of IT systems to improve the delivery of care. Effective leadership skills.
