The Hill's Regional Sr. Manager, EHS & Sustainability is responsible for the success of the Hill's Division EHS and Sustainability strategies, programs and performance. The incumbent will develop, implement, and drive continuous improvement strategies in all areas of EHS ensuring all relevant federal, state, local, and company standards are met. The manager will also develop, implement and communicate the division’s Sustainability strategy aligned to the company’s 2025 Sustainability strategy.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Foster a safety driven culture across all Hill's sites
  • Develops and reports key performance indicators (KPI’s) to provide the necessary visibility, accountability, and transparency to the Supply Chain Leadership Team and other key stakeholders
  • Provide support when there are regulatory issues, consens, violations
  • Drive reduction of serious incident-fatalities (SIFs) and potential incident-fatalities (pSIFs), closure of audit findings, actions from focused assessments
  • Ensure sites are fully utilizing Company digital EHS solutions including but not limited to the Colgate Human & Organizational Performance (HOP) system
  • Lead the Hill's EHS and Sustainability strategy
  • Drive safety and environment risk assessment and develop appropriate controls
  • Drive compliance with federal, state, local and company policies and standards
  • Champion the company EHS Audit program
  • Provide technical EHS and leadership training to EHS, operations, engineering, and other site team members
  • Influence manufacturing leadership teams to create a safety culture
  • Lead and support the development of the EHS staff across the division, including onboarding new EHS leads
  • In-conjunction with the site Leadership Teams and HR, develop onboarding plans for new EHS site leads.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in an EHS manufacturing
  • BS degree in Engineering, Technology, Safety, Environmental Management, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
  • Proficient in compliance management of OSHA, DOT and EPA regulations
  • Full knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and reporting requirements including Process Safety Management, waste characterization, Serc reporting and air permitting.
  • Understanding and competence in corporate or facility sustainability


Preferred:

  • Digital EHS platform skill
  • Pet or human food manufacturing experience
  • Certified Safety or Industrial Hygiene professional
  • Experience leading multiple manufacturing sites

Salary Range $136,000 - $178,500 USD


Pay is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location. In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive offers a performance based bonus and competitive benefits package.
