As a Regional Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the sales strategy and managing a team of Field Sales Representatives. Your leadership and strategic approach will be crucial in achieving sales targets and fostering strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy and Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Field Sales Representatives.
  • Provide guidance, training, and ongoing support to ensure the team's success.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the region.
  1. Customer Relationship Management:
  • Identify opportunities for business growth and upselling.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers in the region.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and needs to ensure their satisfaction.
  1. Prospecting and Market Expansion:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the region.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with potential clients through various channels.
  1. Financial Oversight and Reporting:
  • Collaborate with the accounting department to ensure timely collection of payments and adherence to credit terms.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, prepare reports, and present findings to senior management.
  1. Collaboration and Cross-functional Coordination:
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration within the organization.
  • Coordinate with other departments such as marketing and operations to ensure smooth order processing and delivery.
  1. Sales Target Achievement:
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement strategies to meet objectives.
  • Drive the team to achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
  1. Market Insights and Trends:
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
  • Use insights to refine sales strategies and adapt to changing market conditions.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Reside in Maine, Connecticut, Massachusetts, or Rhode Island.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  3. Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the food industry.
  4. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  6. Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  7. Proficiency in sales and CRM software, as well as MS Office suite.
  8. Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  9. Ability to travel within the region as needed.
  10. Customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
