Overview

Intuit’s People and Places team drives business growth and profitability through strategic and operational leadership. Our team is composed of human resources, talent acquisition, facility support, workplace services, real estate management, and safety and security personnel that support and enhance Intuit's operating efficiencies.

Come join the Global Safety and Security team as the Regional Safety and Security Manager for the Americas. This operational services leader will execute all activities for the safety and security of Intuit sites and employees within the United States and Canada.

What you'll bring

  • Background and professional training in operations, physical security/threat assessment work, protective intelligence, global security operations centers, technology, safety, event and/or travel security
  • A/B.S in a field of study in security management, criminology, or related security industry field or equivalent experience
  • Core understanding and implementation of physical security information management systems (including but not limited to digital surveillance, electronic access control, alarm management, investigations, and reporting systems)
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility related to applicable physical security operational disciplines, to include corporate security, military, or law enforcement experience
  • Ability to be highly collaborative, work across organizations, have flexibility, be forward thinking and possess a Day 1 mindset when reviewing existing and future initiatives
  • Exceptional analytical, verbal/written communications, presentation and organizational management skills


Preferred Qualifications
  • Project management experience
  • Proficiency in all types of computer software and platforms
  • Significant budget creation and management
  • Expertise in working in collaboration with Information Security departments in the holistic protection of data and assets
  • Extensive development and use of metrics for the evaluations of programs/initiatives
  • Experience managing or collaboration of an executive protection program
  • Security vendor management experience
Preferred Education
  • A./M.S. preferred in a field of study in security management, criminology, or related security industry field

How you will lead

  • The successful candidate will provide leadership, technical expertise and strategic direction for a team of contracted security personnel. This position will report to the Director, Global Safety and Security
  • Occasional travel required to collaborate with regional business partners and to attend training/conferences
  • Execute daily operations and strategic initiatives for workplace safety and security, contract security personnel, and response to incidents at Intuit sites
  • Critical incident management requires occasional phone/email communications during off hours
  • Continually teach and mentor through feedback, coaching and a strong training mindset
  • Deliver assessments and briefings to leadership, facilitating understanding of corrective actions and their associated impact / urgency
  • Oversee and control costs through diligent monitoring of expenditures and labor utilization in order to meet security financial targets
  • Provide expertise in project management and business analysis for project work and business optimization initiatives
  • Provide analytical assessment and reporting/communication of critical information to senior and executive level leadership
  • Develop strong working relationships and routinely collaborate with external partners in Federal/State/Local law enforcement and internal partners in Human Resources, Legal, Employee Relations, Public Affairs, Information Security, Corporate Ethics and Investigations as required
  • Work in extremely close coordination with all Global Safety and Security Managers for physical security initiatives and reduction of exposure through systemic application of preventive measures
  • Identify long-term needs (organizational, policy/procedure, capital enhancements) and develop strategic plans to obtain executive approvals, define objectives, secure required resources and execute stated milestones
  • Assess and understand both the tactical and long-term operational needs, and create/communicate/implement strategies to deliver value-added results
  • In keeping with industry standards and best practices, works to proactively identify and mitigate all manner of risks and threats to Intuit properties, assets and personnel
  • Manage performance and development for Contract Security Services
