Job Description
The Regional Field Marketing Manager will lead the team responsible for developing and executing the national and key market marketing plan and will drive all local marketing programs to drive brand awareness, trial, sales, and brand relevance. The position will manage a team of Field Marketing Managers (5-7) depending on the region that will help to create top of mind awareness with our consumer base. This role will report to the Senior Manager, National Consumer Engagement.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with sales leadership to identify and facilitate best in-class store execution by coordinating the marketing team to develop and execute key strategies, objectives, and tactics against key markets to achieve objectives
  • Lead the development and execution of annual marketing plans for key priority markets
  • Develop relationships with retail partners to maximize on-shelf and marketing opportunities
  • Build and execute a regional, and key market activation plan to support business objectives and provide support for the distribution network
  • Utilize consumer insights and sales analytics to measure performance, track KPIs, develop key learnings, and best practices, and create initiatives that deliver on marketing and sales objectives.
  • Lead / preside over weekly meetings, provide regular recap reports, and periodically build and present plans and decks.
  • Maximize the activation of key market sponsorship and partnerships with consumers in the region.
  • Develop relationships with key market distributors, communicate plans and brand performance, and win brand mind share
  • Ensure and execute an ongoing communication plan/process to continually monitor and communicate field marketing execution, wins, and key learnings.
  • Hire, train, coach, and lead a team of Field Marketing Managers
  • Create a culture that rewards effort and execution that aligns with Congo Brands core values.
  • Lead the execution of the company’s national and regional Field Marketing strategy
  • Drive the development and execution of regional and market-specific trade marketing programs with Trade Marketing
  • Work with Senior Manager, National Consumer Engagement to set and track KPIs to evaluate field market programs’ performance, results, and impact
  • Work with Regional Directors, and the Field Sales team to achieve regional and market level goals and objectives
  • Own field marketing budget within region planning and tracking to ensure budgets are met and maximized across region.
Requirements
  • Self-starter, able to take ownership over tasks and carry them out to the end
  • Superior communication, leadership, and teamworking skills
  • Strong networking skills
  • Strong experience working and building relationships with the sales team and a remote marketing team
  • The position is remote based in the US and requires up to 50% travel.
  • Experience in and be able to demonstrate the ability to make decisions independently and recommend viable solutions to problems and issues
  • Must possess computer skills which include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong understanding of Field Marketing, non-alcoholic sampling programs, and national and market-level brand building with functional beverages
  • Data-driven, and comfortable with metrics and spreadsheets
  • Strong ability and experience in leading the development and management of marketing plans nationally, regionally, and for key markets
  • Must live in a state located in the Great Lakes Region: Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Ohio, or West Virginia
  • Management, negotiating, activating, and leveraging of events and sponsorships
  • Experience managing people in direct reporting and indirect reporting relationships
  • Cross-functional marketing background in areas such as brand, retail, field, digital, trade marketing, events, and sponsorships
  • Bachelor’s degree with 7 or more years of sales and marketing experience in a related role
