POSITION CONCEPT:

Junior Achievement of Oklahoma is seeking a dynamic Regional Director who thrives on collaborative teamwork and values empowering and supporting their team members, fostering a culture of shared success. This position maintains overall responsibility for Junior Achievement in Oklahoma City, a region of JA of Oklahoma.This includes board development, program implementation, fundraising, staff management, and marketing of the JA Brand. This position reports directly to the President of JA of Oklahoma.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participates actively as a member of the JA of Oklahoma staff management team to develop and execute strategic goals of the organization.
  • Works directly and communicates with the board of directors.Holds regular board and committee meetings and collaborates with board chair to enhance membership of the board.
  • Fosters superior relationships thereby building capacity with key partners such as board members, JA investors, corporations, educational community, and volunteers.
  • Oversees and actively engages in all fundraising activities including annual giving, foundation, corporate, individual, and event fundraising.
  • Provides oversight and direction of daily operations of JA programs K-12.Works with school district administrators as needed, and positions JA as a solution provider in the regional education community.
  • Manages staff by creating a rewarding and collaborative work environment that assures achievement of the goals and objectives of the regional team. Ensures appropriate training and mentoring.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Genuine passion around JA’s mission to inspire young people to succeed in a global economy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated success in fundraising and grant writing.
  • Learns and grows from mistakes, course-correcting when necessary, promptly and transparently.
  • Proven experience in strong interpersonal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient and experienced in Microsoft Office and fundraising database platforms.
  • Direct experience working effectively with Boards, senior management teams, and external partners to meet key objectives.
  • Strong management and organizational skills with a demonstrated capacity to lead and marshal the talents of others.
  • Ability to work well in a highly collaborative team environment with proven ability to build strong relationships with individuals at all levels of an organization, as well as external constituents.
  • Unquestionable ethics, integrity, transparency, and accountability in all actions.
