The Regional Acquisition Manager will work closely with the CIO and other members of the investment team to identify, evaluate, and execute new investment opportunities. This individual must have a deep understanding of the multifamily industry, including market trends, regulations, and financing options.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Identify potential acquisition opportunities in the multifamily sector through various sources such as brokers, market research, and networking.
• Create clear market strategies for each target market; develop an understanding of each market and become a local expert
• Conduct financial analysis, market research, and property due diligence on potential acquisitions to evaluate their viability and potential returns. Understand the pro-forma including total project costs, revenue projections, cash flows and how each variable effects return
• Oversee all aspects of the acquisition process, including submitting offers, negotiating purchase agreements, and coordinating due diligence efforts with outside parties such as attorneys, engineers, and appraisers.
• Review and analyze due diligence documents related to the acquisition process, including title reports, environmental assessments, and property condition assessments.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with brokers, owners, and other industry professionals to expand the company's acquisition pipeline.
• Collaborate with the regional teams to ensure a seamless transition from acquisition to management.
• Stay up-to-date on market trends and economic conditions that could impact the multifamily sector and investment decisions.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field
• At least 5 years' experience in multifamily acquisitions
• Knowledge of local and national real estate markets and trends
• Strong negotiation and networking skills
• Excellent financial analysis and modeling skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
