Job Description

Level C Refrigeration mechanics have no RETA certification,but enrolled/completing Level I certification within 6 months of hire; handles routine refrigeration preventative maintenance and repairs. Receives OJT (on-the-job) training for the operation, maintenance, and controls of plants refrigeration equipment. Works under supervision for all repairs and maintenance.

Duties/Activities Required by Job

  • Respond to breakdowns, assess and coordinate proper resources to address problem
  • Adhere to all safety requirements, including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions. Lock out Tag out procedures and Process Safety Management related matters
  • Complete work orders as assigned.
  • Set up/tear down/adjust equipment.
  • Handles basic routine refrigeration preventative maintenance and repair.

Educations/Experience Requirements

  • RETA I Certification within 6 month of hire. HazMat Trained. Mechanical aptitude. Understands the basic theory, practical knowledge, and skills to safely and successfully function as an entry-level mechanic.
  • 1-2 yrs. related experience HVAC, Trade
  • H/S, Technical
