About the role
We are looking for a Millwright Craftsperson based in Salt Lake City, Utah, to join the Asset Management team at the Kennecott Refinery. This role will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, replacing, installing, adjusting, and maintaining mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment and system in accordance with all relevant codes and standards to improve performance and minimize downtime.
This role is a great opportunity for someone with millwright or mechanical experience. Reporting to the Supervisor Maintenance, you will be:

  • Adhere to and site-wide support Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality compliance standards.
  • Maintain appropriate service and repair records and reports
  • Working in Refinery or field, operating mobile, stationary and other plant equipment to facilitate installation & repair work; perform rigging; driving mobile equipment.
  • Recognizing malfunctioning equipment and diagnosing problems
  • Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and schematics
  • Order parts, and equipment
  • Dismantling, cleaning, fabricating, repairing, replacing, lay out, installing, maintaining, assembling, adjusting, and lubricating all types of mechanical, plumbing and piping equipment

What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Minimum of 4 years of maintenance work experienced in an industrial environment
  • High School diploma or Equivalent

It will also be beneficial if you have:

  • Welding Skills
  • Hydraulic experience
  • Industrial mechanical craftsman experience or Millwright Certification
  • Pump rebuild and alignment experience
  • Pipefitting experience
