East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking a full time Referral Coordinator for our Health Center located at 2 Old County Road in Barrington, RI.
The Referral Coordinator must maintain an ongoing tracking and appropriate documentation on referrals to promote team awareness and ensuring patient safety. Reviewing insurance company information to ensure prior approval requirements are met. Review details and expectations about the referral with patients. Establish and maintain working relationships with identified service providers. Ensure that referrals are addressed in a timely manner. Remind patients of scheduled appointments via mail or phone. Ensure that the patient’s chart is up to date with the information on consultant’s reports from specialists.
The Referral Coordinator must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required, and familiarity with medical records would be helpful. The successful applicant will receive training in NexGen, which is EBCAP’s electronic medical record system.
For Full Time Employees Working 30 – 40 hours per week, EBCAP provides a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes heavily subsidized medical and dental insurance plans (BCBSRI), supplemental vision insurance, voluntary medical and dependent care flexible spending accounts, up to 3% company matching 403(b) retirement plan, employer-paid life insurance & long term disability, generous paid time off that includes vacation/holidays/personal days/sick time, mileage reimbursement, tuition reimbursement, opportunities for center-paid training/CEUs, employee assistance program, and so much more!
