Red Classic - Master Data Analyst

Job Overview

The Master Data Analyst is responsible for defining, maintaining, revising, communicating, and adhering to processes, policies, and procedures for managing master data (master files). The position will also eliminate incorrect data from entering the Transportation Management System (TMS), Fleet Maintenance System (TMT) as well as supporting systems. This position ensures records are complete, accurate, consistent, maintenance processes documented, and all supporting data structures are properly configured and up to date. This requires a deep understanding of Red Classic systems; its master data screens and tables and related applications. The MDM Analyst will perform data quality and audit control to the master data elements based on established governance processes and procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Analyzes data requests for redundancy, accuracy, and applicability to the business and ensure records are complete, accurate, consistent, maintenance processes documented
• Maintains an electronic database from received business requests, enters and retrieves information
• Assists with audit process to assure accuracy and integrity of master data
• Partners with business process owners on complex projects, implementations to define support requirements, participate in system testing and acceptance, and document change control procedures in a Sarbanes-Oxley environment
• Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Functional knowledge of master data impact on business processes in a transportation environment
• Advanced Excel and Access knowledge, meticulous data quality, validation, and data entry skills
• Very strong customer service and communication skills
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills are needed to manage multiple requests with varying levels of importance and criticality
• Outstanding follow-up ability
• Ability to relate to end users with varying levels of technical skills and understanding; from the end-user to management, to the executive level
• A high degree of initiative and ownership with strong attention to details
• Two or more years of experience creating and, or maintaining master data elements

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience
• Associate’s degree or up to 3 years of college or technical school
