Overview
Are you interested to start a career in the constantly growing, always fascinating Recording field? We are hiring a Recording Technician to join our innovative team at the County Clerk and Recorder's Office!
The main focus of the Recording Department is, first and foremost, the maintenance and integrity of the Larimer County Public Land Records, which date back to 1862. Our duties include the recording and imaging of documents for the permanent public record, providing a grantor/grantee index for search and retrieval of recorded documents, and providing copies of those documents to the public upon request.

Responsibilities
Specifically, this position:
  • Issues Civil Union and Marriage Licenses.
  • Assists customers in person, over the phone, and through written correspondence.
  • Records, indexes, and verifies appropriate data.
  • Maintains files and records as required by Colorado Revised Statutes.
  • Calculates and collects appropriate fees.
  • Operates a cash tendering system and maintains a cash drawer.

Qualifications
All candidates will be screened for the following required minimum qualifications. Any candidate who does not meet all of the qualifications listed as required will be eliminated from the process.
  • High school diploma or GED, required.
  • Possess reliable transportation to be able to work in any County facility as needed and required.
  • Become a Notary Public and a U.S. Passport Acceptance Agent within nine (9) months of hire, required.
  • Ability to be deputized, required.
  • One (1) year of experience in a directly related clerical field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities required.

Supplemental Information
The typical schedule for this position is 7:50 AM - 5:05 PM, Monday to Friday.
An offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
