Reauthorization Specialist Jobs

Position Summary: The Reauthorization Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of reauthorizations for client care. This includes re-verifying client eligibility, monitor insurance lifetime caps and prior authorization periods.
Essential Duties:

• Alerts appropriate management team members regarding late or missing documents required for reauthorization request.
• Re-verify client eligibility, monitor insurance lifetime caps and prior authorization periods
• Determine reauthorization process for payors assigned and establish payor contacts to facilitate timely reauthorization request.
• Based upon documentation provided able to determine clients whose authorization is about expire
• Properly and accurately enter client authorization and careplans where necessary into designated system
• Performs other specific projects relating to billing, authorization, data entry, and computer operations as required.
• Maintains the confidentiality of client and organization information at all times
• Resolve client/payor issues in a timely manner
• Complete and manage all paperwork or supportive documentation required for performing effective authorization request
• Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with clients, payers, and other customers.

• Dependable, conscientious and reliable
• 1-2 years of recent experience working in a health care setting and insurance authorizations
• High school diploma or GED equivalent, some college preferred
• Must be computer literate and possesses knowledge of computer software, Microsoft Excel (advance skills preferred), internet, Word and Outlook
