Job Description

Our AmLaw 200 client seeks a highly motivated, experienced associate to join their Atlanta office's Real Estate & Land Use Department. The firm's real estate and land use lawyers represent commercial real property development and finance clients. As a successful candidate, you will work on various transactions, from project planning to loan negotiation, leasing, management, sale, workout, and foreclosure. You will also advise on the acquisition, financing, land use planning, zoning, construction, leasing, and sale of real property.


The firm has a uniquely broad perspective gained from our experience worldwide on various sides of real estate transactions, including on behalf of Fortune 500 companies. The firm seeks a talented individual with 6-8 years of commercial real estate finance experience, specifically with large commercial real estate experience representing lending institutions in one or more bridge, mezzanine, or CMBS lending.


Responsibilities:

• Advise on the acquisition, financing, land use planning, zoning, construction, leasing, and sale of real property

• Represent lending institutions in one or more bridge, mezzanine or CMBS lending

• Work on a variety of transactions, from project planning to loan negotiation, leasing, management, sale, workout, and foreclosure

• Collaborate with other team members to provide streamlined service to clients

• Draft and negotiate transactional documents

• Conduct due diligence reviews


Requirements:

• 6-8 years of commercial real estate finance experience

• Large firm commercial real estate experience representing lending institutions in one or more bridge, mezzanine, or CMBS lending

• Strong academic record, excellent drafting skills, and communication skills

• Georgia bar is required
