Location: Virtual


Job Overview:


FAR Group is currently seeking Reader Assistance primarily in a virtual environment for approximately twenty (20) hours a week.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Assisting in reading/digitally signing PDF documents.
  • Providing reading support via Microsoft Teams in a virtual environment.
  • Navigating many different VA computer systems: BDN, CAPRI, COVERS, CWINRS, TMS, ETA, VBMS, Virtual VA, DRAGON, IPPS, e-VA, CMP, and SHARE screens not accessible with screen reader.
  • Assisting with mouse/cursor manipulations.
  • Reading aloud materials not accessible with screen reader.
  • Ensuring formatted letters and forms are correct.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Providing such other visual aid services as may be needed and reasonable under the circumstances to assist the employee with completion of job assignments.


Job Skills and Requirements for Reader:


  • Requires at least two (2) years’ experience working in an office environment.
  • Associate degree or equivalent.
  • Extensive knowledge of composition, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Prefer previous experience working with the Blind/Low Vision.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
