Our mission is to build a web application that enables third-party vendors to scan and monitor their satellite networks for any suspicious or unauthorized activities. With a small, dynamic team spread across continents, we are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of space security technology.


Position Summary:


We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of our web application for scanning unwanted traffic on third-party vendor satellites. The ideal candidate will have a passion for space technology, a strong background in web application development, and expertise in React, JavaScript, and Python. However, we value a diverse skill set and are open to individuals with experience beyond these technologies. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting space security venture and work collaboratively with a globally distributed team.


Responsibilities:


- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy the web application for scanning and monitoring unwanted traffic on third-party vendor satellites.


- Implement responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces using React, JavaScript, and other modern web technologies.


- Develop robust back-end functionalities using Python and other relevant technologies to process, analyze, and visualize satellite network data.


- Ensure the security and integrity of the application by implementing effective authentication, encryption, and access control mechanisms.


- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve any software defects or performance issues.


- Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality standards and promote best practices.


- Continuously research and stay up to date with emerging technologies, tools, and techniques related to space security and web application development.


- Collaborate with team members across continents to share knowledge, provide technical support, and contribute to a positive team culture.


Qualifications:


- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field - But not a must.


- Strong proficiency in React, JavaScript, and Python.


Experience with other programming languages and frameworks is a plus!


- Slack


- Solid understanding of web application development principles, including front-end and back-end development, RESTful APIs, and database systems.


- Familiarity with security concepts, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and vulnerability scanning.


- Experience with version control systems, such as Git, and agile development methodologies.


- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.


- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a globally distributed team.


- Passion for space technology, security automation, and a desire to contribute to a cutting-edge field.
