Overview
The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis supports the U.S. Department of the Treasury in key business lines related to financial management for the federal government. We are looking for a Java Software Developer – Full Stack for our applications. As a member of our team, you will report to the IT Manager and be supported by a Senior Software Engineer or a Senior Software Developer.

  • Contribute to Agile Ceremonies, including, Backlog Refinement, Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Continuous Improvement, Lessons Learned, Retrospectives and Program Increment Planning.
  • Provide technical assistance in diagnosing and resolving production incidents and determining the cause and associated long-term resolution for those incidents.
  • Responsibilities
    • Provide technical assistance to support application defect resolution.
    • Build and test automation for software enhancements and application code as assigned.
    • Contribute to Agile Ceremonies, including, Backlog Refinement, Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Continuous Improvement, Lessons Learned, Retrospectives and Program Increment Planning.
    • Collaborate to complete the tasks assigned and committed to by the Agile Team in each sprint increment.
    • Help create program support documentation, including test plans, capacity plans, and other assigned technical documentation.
    • Use and apply technical knowledge on both the job and future planning of job deliverables.
    • Provide technical assistance in diagnosing and resolving production incidents and determining the cause and associated long-term resolution for those incidents.
    • Help maintain test environments/data to support problem resolution.
    • Research and remain current with industry best practices.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field of study, or commensurate experience
    • 3+ years of experience developing Java-based software applications.
    • Diagnose system level issues to the appropriate component level, and then to debug and provide defect resolution.
    • Experience with Java EE technologies
    • Experience with current open source frameworks (Hibernate, Spring).
    • Experience database technologies, application containers and webservices.
    • Use and understand the purpose and use of development tools used for a specific project and how to get the most out of the tools.
    • Candidates with less experience may be hired at a lower job grade or salary.
    • US Citizen or lawful permanent resident with three or more years of US residency.
